cellular shades block out all natural light from entering the room

Room darkening shades also known as cellular shades, black out shades, and honeycomb shades are more than just popular. They also help conserve energy. They do it so well that many brands qualify for tax cuts. As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficiency allows for a tax credit of 30% on qualifying products, up to $1500. This includes room darkening shades.

The main purpose is to conserve energy. Cellular shades are the best examples. They come in single, double and triple honeycomb. Each honeycomb increases the efficiency of the shade. In the summer months, the shades keep the ultraviolet light out of the house and the cool air conditioning inside. You choose a dark color to face the inside of your house and a bright color reflects the light outside. This way the sunlight reflects right back outside keeping your house nice and cool.

Black out shades work great for anyone sensitive to light. If you have trouble sleeping, then these are ideal for you. They block out the light during the day so those who work the night shift can sleep peacefully during the day. Migraine sufferers like the honeycomb shades as well. They block out the penetrating sunlight and anyone who suffers from migraines knows this can be a problem.

That is the best part about the new shades. Most of the time, cellular shades are installed on a spring roller. This makes them easy to open and close. Therefore, you can let in as much or as little light as you want. If you want to block out all the light, you can do that. Or if you want to let in light, you can do that as well. It is completely up to you.

The shades block out all natural light from entering the room and completely block out the glare. This means that you won’t get the harsh glare from the sun. Whether you are trying to work on the computer or simply trying to enjoy a movie, everything is easier when you have cellular blinds installed in your home. Imagine not having to strain to see the TV or computer again. It does make the investment worthwhile.

When we speak about sunrooms, the first picture that comes to our mind is that of an exterior room/patio which seems to be saturated with crystal clear sunlight almost all year round. The pleasure of lazing around in a hammock or sliding chair in a sunroom is extremely delightful for those who do not have the sunlight all year long. As a result, choosing furniture for sunrooms becomes absolutely essential and critical if you wish to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or early morning coffee in your sunroom.

Furniture ideas

The most essential thing to be kept in mind while choosing furniture for sunrooms is that the material should be resistant to the weather varsities as the sunroom, being a semi-outdoor room is always exposed to sunlight as well as rain. Generally, the furniture for sunrooms are made up of plastic, wicker, metal or wood and are widely available in the market in different designs and colors. However, while choosing the furniture you should always keep the durability aspect in mind and maintenance also should be easy.

As a result, bamboo furniture is quite a popular choice in terms of furniture for sunrooms since they are durable, weather resistant and far light-weight than teak or other wooden furniture. Also, unlike metal, bamboo furniture does not run the risk of rusting if it is exposed to harsh rainfall for long. Other possible and popular material for furniture for sunrooms include cast iron or aluminum, wicker, abaca, wrought iron, seagrass, rattan and powder coated materials are also fast gaining popularity with people.

Designs

When it comes to design and color options for furniture for sunrooms you have a wide range of available options to choose from, just like in the case of materials. Furniture for sunrooms is available in varied colors and some shopkeepers even allow customization policies as well. However, when it comes to design, always try to choose something which is sleek and stylish instead of choosing something extremely heavy-weight and classy. Try to keep in mind, that you might like to alter the position of the sunroom furniture quite often and so they should be easily movable.

Now that you have got a clear idea about sunroom patio furniture, you can either browse the internet for finding the list of shops which sell furniture for sunrooms or visit any of the local shops. Check out some latest fashion and designs of furniture for sunrooms and make your sunroom look bright and appealing.

Looking for a picture frame? They come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, materials, and colors. How do you choose one that’s right for you? Choosing a frame that compliments the photo or picture you’re framing while keeping with the decor of your home can be a challenge. Here are some tips to find the perfect frame for your artwork.

First, have your photo, picture, or artwork ready for framing. Knowing what size frame you need is an important step. The frame will need to be bigger than the piece. Remember that there will be a matte around the picture, so go for a frame at least one inch larger than the width and height of your picture.

Second, decide on a style of frame. Frames mostly come in wood and metal. Do you want a frame with a modern look, to go with a sleek interior? You might be interested in a black matte or gloss finish frame. A metal frame could look great in such a setup. On the other hand, wooden frames, especially stained wood, look great with a more traditional interior. Look for an elegant frame, possibly with some gold trim. A third option is a weathered wood frame, which could look great with a country style interior. A store with a large selection of different types of frames can be a big help in this step.

Next, decide on a matte. This is the piece of board that surrounds the picture, in between the picture and the frame. The matte is usually white, but you can get pretty much any color you want. Mattes are cheap and easy to make yourself, but if you don’t want to do the work you can ask somebody at your local hobby store to do it for you. Another option for framing is to simply take your artwork to a framing store, where they’ll ask you what you want and can even do a custom framing job. No matter how you do it, a framed picture will look great for years to come!
