💥 Let’s talk about mobile internet options. Even though we are currently stationary, we need to find a better internet option for the travel we do get to do.
The internet at most parks is very slow. In order to accomplish more than basic web browsing we need something that has decent upload and download speeds. We are looking for something with enough bandwidth for us to keep up with our youtube channel, as well as something that we can stream HULU or a similar service. Currently we have Sprint cell phones plans that have mobil hotspots. This works great but it is not unlimited. I have looked at several hotspots through Verizon and AT&T. These seem like they would fit the bill but they also come with a monthly bill that is not so budget friendly. I came across the TOGO Roadlink a while back and I really think this would be a great fit for us. I have yet to talk to many people who have real world experience with this. If you have any experience with this product or any other hotspots, I would really appreciate any feedback you can provide. Here is a link to the TOGO Roadlink if you don’t know what I am talking about. https://www.runswithtogo.com/roadlink-product-details

💥 We like to find local events that are specific to each area we travel. This is also true for Montrose, CO where we are currently stationary. The Covered Bridge Ranch hosts some wonderful activities for kids and adults. We attended their “Pumpkins at the Covered Bridge Ranch.” They have a slew of activities geared towards kids, of all ages, from the end of September to the end of October. We went with a group and the kids got to take home a pumpkin with their admission fee. We spent the good part of the day here tried everything they had to do. They also host “Christmas Trees at the Covered Bridge Ranch” from the end of November to the middle of December. They have a whole Christmas tree farm where you can go and pick out your own tree. There are fewer activities to do during this time since most everything is outdoors but it is a cool experience if you are in the area. Check out their website for more information, dates, and events. http://www.coveredbridgeranch.com/home

💥 We needed a way to give the boys a little privacy, as well as a dark place for them to go to bed when it is bedtime. Our Grand Design Solitude was not meant for a family of 5! We moved the couch to the slide and got rid of our recliners. We ordered a Better Homes & Garden Day/Trundle bed for the boys. This fit perfectly in the rear of our fifthwheel. https://bit.ly/2soUIpJ The only problem we ran into was that the was no way to close this space off for the boys when they went to bed. Right now they share the top bed and so we decided to hang a curtain from the ceiling. Here are the materials you will need if you want to do something similar.

🔗 1″ PVC pipe. Measure the configuration you want for your curtain rod. https://bit.ly/35xXvey
🔗 PVC 45 Degree elbows x4. We had to go around our AC unit. We needed to do this so we could mount the rod to the ceiling and couldn’t attach it to the AC unit. https://bit.ly/2qSFDMz
🔗 PVC T Fitting. This was used to hold up the center of the rod. https://bit.ly/2OJt8uE
🔗 Closet Rod Mounts. We used 2 sets of these. The open ended pieces were used on either side of the rod so we could remove the rod if needed. One of the closed ends was used in the middle. We glued the pvc pipe into this end and put a couple of screws in there to make sure it held. This was then screwed into the ceiling. https://amzn.to/30C0Esg
🔗 We used some JB Weld epoxy to glue the pvc pipe to the curtain rod bracket.

🔗 Get some PVC Cement to glue your PVC fittings together. We didn’t glue every joint together because we wanted to be able to dismantle the curtain and take it down easily if needed on travel days. https://amzn.to/374y31k
